**About the Role**

At Kiri Te Kanawa Retirement Village in Gisborne we have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as a Maintenance/Gardener Person. This is a Casual** **position working upon the village demand**.**

In the Maintenance role you will:

- Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance/preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds
- Assist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenance
- Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors
- Work closely with and support your colleagues

In the Gardener role you will:

- Work in a team focused on maintaining our beautiful gardens in our resort style setting for our residents, their families and our staff to enjoy
- Service the grounds and gardens to ensure a great appearance and ensure safety of all the grounds area
- Enjoy lots of variety with a bowling green, water features, residential and shared areas
- Work closely with, and support your colleagues

**About You**

To thrive in our varied environment you will have:

- Previous experience in a Maintenance/Gardener role will be an advantage
- Computer Skills (desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
- Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residents
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required
- Reliable, friendly and professional manner
