Inpatient Booking Clerk

**The details**: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced clerical administrator to join the surgery department Ophthalmology Inpatient booking clerk team.

**About the role**:
This is a key front line role in the service that works closely with the business manager and medical staff to manage the elective patient flow in each department.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be well organised and prioritise your workload effectively. This position is ideal if you have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service via telephone, have a good eye for detail, experience with data bases and are a positive team member.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of people is essential.
You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office products and have accurate typing skills. Experience in a health environment and knowledge of patient management systems and clinical terminology would be a significant advantage.
