George Wilson Sales is a long-standing and familiar name across the Southland region. Established in the late 1970’s George Wilson Sales is today Southlands largest independent supply store. Holding an extensive variety of tools, parts, specialty paints and coatings, welding equipment, consumables and more, for the trades, rural industrial and automotive cliental in and around the Southland region.

**The role**

Working as part of a small team this is a unique and key position that covers two local stores. The day-to-day duties will involve;
- Develop product knowledge in order to accurately sell and promote to customers.
- Ensure the store is kept clean, tidy & well stocked.
- Inwards and outwards goods.
- Building lasting relationships with clients, customers, and internal staff.
- Assisting with the marketing of the company and promoting of new products and services as they hit the market.

**Days and Hours**

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and rostered Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm.

**Skills and Attributes**

This position would suit somebody who has a keen interest in over-the-counter sales in the trades sector, who enjoys dealing with people and finding solutions for them. Ideally you will have experience in a similar based position but could be looking to expand your product knowledge. You will be someone who is motivated to learn and develop, who thrives on a challenging and busy work environment. You will have good organizational skills, effective time management and strong communication skills.
