Ece Teacher

We are looking for a professional, energetic and certificated Early Childhood Kaiako to join our experienced team at Waiapu Kids St George’s based in Whakatāne. This is a permanent, position, 31.5 hours per week, with potential to pick up more hours as and when needed if agreed.

Waiapu Kids St George’s is a well-established community based Early Childhood Education Centre, offering high quality education and care in a safe and compassionate play based, environment catering for up to 50 tamariki aged from birth to 5 years.

We are passionate about children and their development. We recognise that children learn at their own pace and bring their unique culture, strengths, and interests to their play and learning and we strive to create an environment that caters for every child’s needs. We create a positive environment for teachers, children, and their whānau, working together to help children develop, grow, and thrive.

Our centre is part of Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW) which is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our ECE centres are located across eight locations in Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti and Hawkes Bay and offer safe, nurturing, and educational environments for children and whānau to thrive. The ACW values of Vitality, Integrity, Compassion and Respect guide our practice in the centres.
