Our Whanganui Alliance has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class2 Truck Driver with several years’ experience to become part of their great team. Experience in drainage maintenance, drain cleaning or aspects of road maintenance including working with heavy machinery and manoeuvring of large vehicles in residential areas will also be valued.

**About the role**:
Based out of our Whanganui depot, responsibilities include driving and the operation of our jetting unit (culvert / pipe cleaning), undertaking programmed inspections, carrying out routine maintenance and some emergency drain cleaning. Good customer service skills will be an advantage together with the ability to work both as part of a team, as well as unsupervised. There will be some travel required, including the occasional nights away from home.
- Driving and operating the hydro jetting truck
- Investigating and unblocking faulty drainage infrastructure
- Water blasting and culvert cleaning
- Assisting with emergency response to achieve emergency works KPI’s
- Hazard assessment to ensure workplace safety

**About you**:
With the experience of operating of hydro-jetting units under your belt, you will be confident operating within a team and independently as required. You will be comfortable using machinery and hand tools to get the job done. You will also:

- Enjoy hands on active site based work
- A full driver's licence and class 2 HT licence
- Class 4 HT licence would be an advantage
- Previous pipe cleaning or jetting unit experience.
- Current confined space entry trained would be an advantage
- Strong focus on Health and Safety
