**About being the Role**:
Coronet Peak hosts many events throughout the season from local recreational events through to International F.I.S. Alpine races. The race and events secretary is the glue that keeps the race and events team together. Being involved in events from their conception through delivery and completion this person will be a highly organised, innovative and creative person who can work well under pressure and be responsible for all office tasks and administration associated with these events. This is an exciting and varied position dealing with amazing people in the industry, no two days will be the same. Prior knowledge and/or experience with Alpine Ski Racing events would be an advantage. Must be ready to work both on and off snow, experienced skier a necessity.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Health & Safety - Identification and reporting of hazards, Proactive in enforcing health & safety standards.
- Event Marketing, imagery and descriptions
- Event Entry, lift ticket coordination, collection and auditing of fees
- FIS Entry acceptance in accordance to FIS ICR and national Quotas
- PR Duties, Securing Sponsorship, sponsorship management
- Event Management
- Communication between all areas of the mountain in a consultative manner that engages and encourages support
- Support Race Crew with mountain event engagement
- Office Administration
- Back up of information, Computer filing system, invoicing of teams, athletes, sponsor, events etc. Office filing system, office purchases, office/race supplies, payment of invoices, payroll
- Cash handling/ Credit Card/Eftpos, completion of official documentation prior to race, Organising staff refreshments for event days, payment from competitors, registration of competitors, ROC meetings, Staff transport
- Promoting sustainability and the efficient use of resources
- Delivery of awesome customer service, Management of complaints and queries, Meeting personal presentation standards
- Communicates effectively within and across teams, Completing daily tasks at rostered areas, Contributing to department goals and objectives, Flexibility/Adaptability for positive outcomes, Keeping work area clean & tidy, Time keeping.
Your Attributes & Qualifications:
- Experience in sport management, knowledge of FIS rules, skilled use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
- Experience with Guest Services and using POS systems, must be intermediate skier to assist on-snow on event days
- Sets innovative goals and follows through, understands and supports our Shared Purpose, willingness to lend a hand wherever you can.
