**Biocompatibility and Toxicology Associate**
Fisher and Paykel Healthcare is recruiting for the role of Biocompatibility and Toxicology Associate that will function within the Quality Systems Technical Services Team. This is an entry-level product coordinator role with room for growth within the team. The person in this position will support the business to ensure medical devices meet the material requirements of international regulatory bodies. They will collaborate with internal teams including but not limited to, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and product development, along with external business partners to provide technical support for biocompatibility activities.
**About the role**:
- Liaise with internal teams (product development, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance) and external business partners (test laboratories) to provide technical support for necessary biocompatibility activities.
- Review and sign off on test protocols and test reports
- Track and present project statutes and biocompatibility-related performance metrics
- Assist product development with the preparation of test samples for evaluation
- Coordinate biocompatibility testing with internal and external laboratories
**Skills and Experience**:
- Strong scientific, organizational, and project management skills required
- Laboratory background preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan projects while adhering to internal deadlines in a timely manner
- Experience with ISO 10993 and ISO 18562 preferred but not required
- Computer skills required - MS Office, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet
- Bachelor’s degree with 0-1 years’ experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry
