We are seeking a mature, friendly, outgoing and switched on **Supervisor** with excellent leadership skills to join our customer driven Checkout team.

You will be responsible for managing a team of checkout operators, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a **full-time position** working **afternoon shifts, 1:00pm - 10:00pm including weekends**. In this role you are expected to:

- Keep on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
- Train new checkout operators as required.
- Monitor the security of the checkout area at all times.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Facilitate the speedy resolution of price enquiry and other queries through effective liaison with all departments ensure appropriate escalation of price scanning errors and returning customer complaint forms to the appropriate department.
- Monitoring impulse bars and fridges and ensuring stock is correctly ticketed and priced.
- Ensuring the checkout area is kept clean and tidy and all trolleys, baskets and credits are cleared away regularly to avoid clutter or potential hazards being created.
- Assisting with the management of the customer service desk.
- Maintain security of the front end to ensure all products that leaves the store is paid for.
- Ensure all appropriate signage is displayed correctly and that all promotional material is changed over as required.

To be successful in this role you must have the following skills and attributes
- 1-2 years checkout experience to supervisor level or similar role in a retail environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
