Join Oaks Wellington Hotel as our new full-time Assistant Restaurant Manager. This is your opportunity to supervise the day to day operation of a successful Restaurant and Food & Beverage department.

**As the Assistant Restaurant Manager you will**:

- Ensure smooth and efficient daily floor operations of the restaurant, bistro and conferences.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's food and beverage features to promote to clients.
- Liaise with the kitchen during service periods to ensure quality service and presentation.
- Supervise, train and assist Food & Beverage Attendants

Expected minimum hours: 30 hours per week

Location: 89 Courtenay Place, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand

Annual salary range: $29.66-$30 per hour. (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Payment of wages will be processed on a fortnightly basis by direct credit to your nominated bank account.

Reporting to: Food and Beverage Manager

Breaks: Employees are entitled to paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks based on the number of hours worked. Breaks will be taken at times agreed to by the employer and employee or when the law says breaks must be taken. Leave Entitlements: As per Employment New Zealand - Leave and holidays | Employment New Zealand and Holidays Act 2003.

Period of Notice: Four weeks
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience gained in a similar role
- Previous experience working within formal dining and a bar environment
- A current RSA certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude.
- A high level of self-motivation and confidence
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts on a rotating roster.

2. Remuneration & Deductions Pay and benefits are as outlined in Schedule 1. Reasonable work-related expenses are reimbursed. The company may deduct amounts owed from your pay following consultation. KiwiSaver contributions comply with legal requirements.

4. Redundancy No redundancy compensation is provided, but notice or payment in lieu is given. Offers of similar employment may exclude redundancy provisions.
