This role is part of the team that supports and develops MIT's Student Management System (SMS). The SMS is MIT's principle software platform: recording student enrolment, attendance, achievement and qualifications awarded. It is also the repository for the data that drives the Institute and ensures that MIT meets its statutory reporting requirements to the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC). The software in use - since 2012 - is Tribal Education's ebs. This role will suit someone with good MS SQL administrative skills who can also communicate clearly to those with less technical know-how. Reporting to the SMS Team Leader, you will the second in charge taking a senior role to: - Be engaged in systems administration and the management of interfaces between the SMS and other systems (e.g., Protégé, Wallflower, e-track, Tech One, Salesforce CRM, Canvas LMS, Cyon's Syllabus+), - Be part of the team that tests and deploys version releases and service packs across four software environments, - Contribute to meeting MIT's statutory reporting to the TEC, and - Be part of a variety of new projects annually, each for the benefit of MIT's students and system users. **Ahurea - Anga fakafonua - Culture**: At MIT you will work with some incredible people who are passionate about the positive impact we make to the communities we serve.We offer a work environment which values genuine people who care for others, are well-connected, open and approachable and strive for excellence in all we do.
