**Where you’ll be working**: Waikato Regional Diabetes Service - 26 Clarence Street, Hamilton
**The details**:Permanent - 64 Hours a fortnight (0.8 FTE) - Monday to Friday
**Salary details**: PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical MECA
- **Be part of the national transformation in Health**
- **Work with a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team in the Diabetes Service**
- **Provide nutritional therapy and expertise, both in direct care delivery and in support of other staff in the management of women with diabetes in pregnancy and those with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes.**
- **Research and audit, including participation in the development of standards of dietetic practice in diabetes in pregnancy**
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Dietitian to join our team in the Waikato Regional Diabetes Service working as a clinical dietitian working with women with diabetes in pregnancy, with the High Risk Foot Clinic team and general dietetics working with people with Type 1 Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes.

Te Whatu Ora Waikato Regional Diabetes Service provides secondary level care to those within the Waikato Region. This expands as far as Coromandel, Taumarunui, Te Kauwhata and the Raglan coast. We have a large multi-disciplinary team and promote a positive approach to teamwork. We are committed to and support the learning and development of our staff to give the best possible care to our patients.
**Mōu | About you**
Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Registration with the New Zealand Dietitian Board
- A current practising certificate
- Genuine interest in the management of diabetes
- A minimum of 2 years dietetic experience is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a team person who is flexible, with a positive attitude
- Ability to effectively coordinate your own workload
