You would be required to perform the following duties not limited to
- Assist the manager to make a full list of all stock, maintain stock levels and determine how popular an item is before ordering new stock.
- Receiving and checking orders from suppliers to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure correct and accurate invoicing of ordered products.
- Ensure stock is properly priced and displayed:
- Balancing the till and managing day-to-day banking and financial transactions.
- Answer the company phone in a friendly and engaging way.
- If necessary, help customers to choose items, advising of any promotions, and then accurately collecting payments at the counter.
- To look for opportunities to improve procedures,
- Follow up on customer complaints/comments quickly and forward them to the store manager promptly.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are adhered to
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Assist in training, and evaluating staff performance.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be available to work early mornings and weekends.
- No criminal convictions / Drug tests are required.
Qualifications and Experience: The applicant must have atleast 6 months of experience in the Retail sector.
