we are looking for an experienced class 4 driver for our well-established family business, who has a positive attitude to fit in this role. This job required a lot of physical work loading and unloading so applicant must be fit and healthy.
- Have no criminal record.
- Have willing to do drug test, police check and medical test.
- Auckland based deliveries, dealing with customer.
- Flexibility to work extra hours, early morning start and late finish
- Can pass a quick driving trail with the company transport manager.
- Involve manual handling.
- Be punctual and honest with timekeeping and paperwork.

*Work in conditions that may be stressful, including poor weather and Heavy Traffic

*Mechanically minded would be an advantage.

*Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong results-focused work ethic.

*Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised.

*Strong Health & Safety focus & adherence to all H&S procedures

*Willingness to follow standard operating procedures.

Main task
- Loading and Unloading
- Hand unloading when required.
- Transporting and delivering goods in a safe, timely manner
- Confirm that the contents of each load match the manifest document.
- Plan routes and ensure timely transport and delivery.
- Communicate with dispatch as needed.
- Ensuring goods are strapped down correctly and removed safely.
- Notify of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
- Logbooks to be completed accurately & submitted timely.
- Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip - including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards.
- Inspecting goods for damage and complete incident reports for the manager
- Ensure truck is kept clean and tidy and carry out minor maintenance.
- Comply with all traffic laws at all times.
- Follow correct safety procedures.

Qualification and experience:

- Hold a clean class 4 license.
- Minimum 2 year of experience.

*Training would be provided.

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
