- ** About the Role**

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Registered Social Worker to join our team delivering high quality care for patients across our maternity, Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), and paediatric wards, as well as providing support to our TOPs clinic.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

Youll join the Allied Health Therapies team at Hawkes Bay Hospital, working within Te Whata Moanarua. The Childrens Hub social work group is collaborative, values-driven, and committed to holistic, whānau-centred care. With strong links to Māori health services, midwifery, nursing, and community providers, youll be part of a dynamic environment where your expertise and advocacy will help shape better outcomes for tamariki and their whānau.

**About you**

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- NZ Registered Social Worker with current annual practicing certificate (APC).
- Bachelor of Social Work Degree (or higher) recognised by the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board.
- Experience working with children, young people, and their whānau.
- Thorough knowledge of the health and social issues that vulnerable new mothers, tamariki, and their whānau experience.
- Knowledge of key child protection legislation and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork.
- Excellent understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Flexibility, a willingness to learn, an ability to work autonomously, and fantastic problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a full NZ drivers licence.
- Desired: Membership with ANZASW and experience working with Māori whānau and community services.
