**About the role**

The Category Assistant for Deli and Meal Solutions is where you’ll learn the ropes of category and what makes supermarkets tick. Working across our Retail Banners (PAK’n SAVE, New World and Four Square), you’ll get to learn about promotional plan management, understanding and interpreting dunnhumby reports and how to develop and manage our unique products like Simply Dinner meal kits, instore made pizzas, meals, pastries, sandwiches and rolls.

You’ll also:

- Manage article creation process, confirming key information and gaining appropriate approvals then maintain data, updating and communicating product changes
- Assist in preparation and analysis of Category Review, Joint Business plan and Annual plans
- Respond to all relevant store queries
- Assist the Category Manager in high level marketing activity recommendations and competitor activity summaries
- Work with the Category Manager to manage the promotional process including; pricing, proofing, circular visual layout and post promotion analysis
- Maintain promotional annual plan with changes in product and price

**About You**

Ideally you’ll have had exposure to food science or marketing and be comfortable with high levels of administration. You’ll also be good with processes, be an analytical data whizz who is skilled in Excel with an eye for detail. Time management and the ability to prioritise a moving task list will be one of your superpowers.

You’ll also have:

- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships internally and with our suppliers
- The enthusiasm, drive and willingness to learn and develop
