Permanent, part time 0.8FTE for Nursing Leadership opportunity - Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APCMō te tūnga - About the Role Christchurch Hospital Nursing Support Team has an exciting new opportunity for a Nurse Educator. As a Nurse Educator you will provide nursing leadership in clinical practice, act as a resource for new staff orientating to the area and provide educational opportunities for staff within the service. You - ll lead nursing education and promote nursing research and evidence-based nursing practice in collaboration with the Nursing Director, Charge Nurse Manager (CNM) and wider cluster. You will work closely with the CNM in the development of the team and service. The Nursing Support Team provides cover to all clinical areas, including medical, surgical, paediatrics, women - s health and emergency care at Christchurch Hospital. Ko wai koe | About You If you are a Registered Nurse with extensive, recent clinical experience and hold, or are working towards a certificate in adult teaching and / or a post graduate qualification, we would love to hear from you. - Stakeholder engagement is key, so you will require strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach to influence the team. - You will promote excellence and enhance nursing practice to develop knowledge and skills for nursing staff within the Nursing Support Services team - You will be experienced working as a mentor or preceptor. - Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APCMō mātou - About us From July last year the Canterbury DHB transitioned across to Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ.
