**About the role**:
Reporting to the Operations, Planning and Performance Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for project delivery of a safe, sustainable, and integrated transportation network to enable optimal multi-modal network performance. You will assist in developing a programme of works to make better use of the network to move people and goods more efficiently. You will also undertake project investigation, design, and consultations to deliver solutions that optimise the network.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provision of transport engineering expertise into capital works projects being carried out on the network
- Project manager for engineering investigations, engineering solutions and capital works
- Ensure project managers/ consultants deliver projects on time, within budget and to required standards
- Providing specialist technical input into transport policies, analysis and research, consultation and operational policy drafting, and political input and approvals and relevant standard engineering
- Undertake regular performance reviews and audits of network to prioritise works
- Take an active part in 'concept to detail design to delivery' for projects including project feasibility reports
- Assisting the implementation of Network Performance strategy through measurement, monitoring and reporting

**Key Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering - bachelor, diploma or certificate
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Transportation engineering
- Excellent organisational and forward planning skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal and relationship skills
