Port Marlborough is a values-based port and marina business with operations across multiple sites in Picton, Havelock and the Marlborough Sounds. Environmental leadership, preventing harm, valuing the accomplishments of people and partnering with the community are top priorities.

With a general increase in shipping through the Port and the return of cruise ships to Picton we are looking for additional team members to join our dedicated Lines Crew. The core responsibilities of this role are to work with other trained Lines Handlers to tie up and let go commercial shipping vessels wharf-side at the Port of Picton on a 24/7 basis, as well as provide General Hand services across the wider Port Marlborough functions.

These are fixed term positions to support the core Lines Team over the busy season from October to April. Port Marlborough offer full training which will take place from mid-October to November so you will be fully trained and available over the busy Christmas and New Year period.

The team works a rolling schedule of five days on / two days off and you will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per fortnight. There is a degree of flexibility to meet individual preference or other commitments and there will be the opportunity to pick up additional hours, particularly through the height of the season.
