Technology Services - Principal ICT Architect - Three Roles Available

- Three new principal level roles in our ICT Architecture team

- Reporting to our Head of ICT Architecture within our new ICT Architecture Team you will be a key contributor in developing and maintaining a strategically important whole-of-Stats integrated ICT architecture blueprint
- Work in our brand new 6-star green building in Wellington and / or work flexibly using our modern Microsoft 365 toolset

Te tūnga | The role
Reporting to the Head of ICT Architecture you will work across Stats NZ to develop and manage enterprise and domain level ICT architectures. As part of Stats ICT Architecture Team, you will be a key contributor in developing and maintaining a strategically important whole-of-Stats integrated ICT architecture blueprint.
You will work closely with Solutions Architects as they work with multi-disciplinary technology teams to deliver customer solutions. You will offer advice and guidance to ensure solutions are delivered that are consistent with the ICT architecture blueprint that:
- Will be used for future ICT investments to be aligned to and tested against;
- Aligns to, and enables, the Stats NZ Strategy; and
- Addresses the Stats NZ legacy system issues and provides a pathway to a simplified and cohesive set of ICT systems.

- 5+ years' experience working in the capacity of a senior ICT architect or equivalent in complex, large scale ICT environments
- Experience of managing, coaching, motivating, and developing a multi
- disciplinary workforce and harnessing the talents of employees at all levels.
- Understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to build relationships, credibility and communicate within all levels of the organisation (internally and externally)
