We're looking for a Public Health Network Co-ordinator to join a welcoming team. There are two main components to this role:

- Providing secretariat expertise to a multi-unit network
- Developing and writing the Network's response to key issues.

In this role you will be providing high quality meeting management and secretariat expertise to a multi-unit network group, as well as developing a response paper on a particular issue on behalf of the Network. You'll liaise with others in the organisation to ensure you reflect the true position, have appropriate evidence and critique.

You'll work with the steering group to help coordinate national work streams, as well as assisting with the development and achievement of the annual work plan, identify research on public health for key issues, and manage the reporting to the Ministry.

You may be currently working within the public sector as a policy advisor, but ideally have experience and a post graduate qualification in public health.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- An understanding of the health sector, and ideally public and population health
- Excellent secretariat and organisational skills
- An understanding of the machinery of government and policy
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work well in a team
- Able to start immediately.

Given the role is in a busy public health office, your flexibility and agility to work in a changing, Covid impacted environment is welcomed. You'll be in a welcoming team based in Lower Hutt, with plenty of parking.
