Advanced Practitioner - Occupational Therapist role 1.0 ( 40 hours per week) FTE Permanent - Full time

Opportunities now exist for an Occupational Therapist and Allied Health Assistant to work within the inpatient - s Neurology service at Burwood Hospital. In these roles you will work with patients to enable optimum safety and function during this phase of their recovery. You - ll work with clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and need to bring your holistic skills, enthusiasm and passion to achieve the best outcome for your patients. You will need to demonstrate your excellent communication skills and build rapport with patients and their whanau.
This is a newly developed designated position, designed to enhance Occupational Therapy leadership and service delivery across our inpatient stroke wards.
Predominantly based at Burwood hospital, this role will support the area team leader to ensure excellent standards of care and outcomes for our community whilst supporting new initiatives with attention to stroke pathway standards, clinical practice standards and operational key performance indicators. Burwood Hospital offers the opportunity to be part of both the ward team and the wider Occupational Therapy Department and take the opportunities to access professional development through, in-service training and clinical supervision.

As part of this role, you will be required to work one weekend day every six weeks to be discussed at interview stage.
