A fantastic opportunity has become available for a registered nurse with a current annual practicing certificate, and is an experienced Fully Authorised Vaccinator, to join our Population Health Immunisation Team.

**In this position you'll be key to**:
Promote the importance of the New Zealand Immunisation Programme and to improve immunisation coverage in the Hawke's Bay district
Provide expert advice and education to vaccinators and other health professionals and non-health professionals working with whānau
Up-skill the vaccinator workforce and maintain standards within the vaccinator workforce
We are ideally looking for someone with vast experience as a vaccinator across the lifespan. A qualification and experience in education and assessments is preferred for this role. It's essential that you're able to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information and have a strong attention to detail, and that you have the following skills:
Ability to work with all health professionals and members of the public
An understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi with a working commitment to participation, partnership and proactive protection for Māori
A strong belief in immunisation and a passion to improve child health
Enthusiasm, initiative and a high degree of flexibility
Understanding of Patient Management Systems in primary care
Understanding of cold chain principles and processes
Proficient computer skills and confident user of Microsoft office
Excellent communication, advocacy and interpersonal skills
Pragmatic problem-solving abilities and ability to manage time effectively
