As BIM and digital delivery continue to reshape infrastructure development in New Zealand, we are strengthening our capability to meet client expectations and industry standards. We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive BIM Coordinator to work closely with the BIM Manager in delivering BIM requirements, setting up and managing Common Data Environments (CDEs), and supporting digital delivery across multiple projects.
**About the Role**
With a strong pipeline of major work on the horizon, we are looking to expand our highly skilled workforce. The purpose of this position is to support the BIM Manager in implementing BIM standards, managing model coordination, and establishing robust CDEs, primarily using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). The role requires technical expertise in ISO 19650-1/2, Revit or Civil 3D, federated model workflows, and the ability to extract model-based quantities. Competency in Power BI for digital reporting and data insights is essential.
You'll benefit from exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Supporting the BIM Manager in setting up and maintaining project-specific Common Data Environments (CDEs) aligned with ISO 19650 standards.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), and related documentation.
- Coordinating federated BIM models across disciplines and conducting clash detection using tools like Navisworks or ACC Model Coordination.
- Extracting model-based quantity takeoffs to support estimating and project tracking.
- Delivering high-quality BIM models using Revit or Civil 3D in accordance with project standards.
- Performing quality control checks on discipline models to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Integrating field data and updating models in line with project workflows and changes.
- Creating dashboards and reports in Power BI to monitor model progress, CDE activity, and project KPIs.
- Supporting digital literacy initiatives and BIM training sessions for project teams.
- Providing day-to-day technical support on model navigation, CDE usage, and issue resolution.
**About You**
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting infrastructure projects with BIM deliverables.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit or Civil 3D, with experience in model coordination and quantity takeoffs.
- A strong understanding of ISO 19650-1 and 19650-2 principles.
- Experience setting up and managing CDEs, preferably using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and visualizations.
- A service-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to client and project needs.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of digital solutions and tools.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- APS and API experience with ACC products will be extremely highly regarded
