**Using your accounts payable skills and experience, you will support the Accounts Payable team.**
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a great company and work environment in a fast paced industry located in Newmarket.
To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrable experience, qualifications, and capabilities in the following areas:
- Purchasing order experience in mandatory
- Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies;
- Cost code and input invoices into the accounting system for approval and payment;
- Maintain a well-organised system for processing and filing invoices and related documents;
- Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date and discrepancies are resolved;
- Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company expense policies;
- Reconcile corporate credit card expenses;
- Prepare and process electronic payments in a timely manner;
- Communicate with internal and external vendors to resolve billing issues, disputes, and discrepancies;
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation and reporting;
- Assist in maintaining accurate accounts payable aging reports;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments;
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts payable;
- Ah hoc projects as required by the company.
