Warehouse Operation Specialist

We operate in end-to-end supply chain management, focused on the Retail and FMCG industries. With sites around New Zealand, we are experiencing another growth phase and currently on the hunt for warehouse specialists to join the team.

**Based in Auckland, we have vacancies available at the below sites**:

- Westney Road, Mangere
- Nesdale Avenue, Wiri

Guaranteed 40 hours of work per week with 30 minutes paid lunch break.

All shifts are available. These are our available shifts:

- 05:00am-13:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 01:00pm-09:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 09:00pm-05:30am, Monday to Friday
- 08:00am-16:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 04:00pm-00:30am - Monday to Friday
- 05:00pm-03:30am, Monday to Thursday
- 02:00pm-00:30am, Monday to Thursday

To efficiently and effectively carry out the day to day third party warehousing requirements of Cardinal Freight and their clients product lines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Hands on warehousing responsibilities
- RF scanning / Voice Picking orders with headset
- Pick Face Counts / Cycle Counts / Stock takes if required
- Warehouse housekeeping and cleaning maintenance
- Reworking products when required, re-labelling and restacking of products
- Capable of identifying, selecting and/or packing goods to prepare an order
- Pick and confirm an order via the RF scanner
- Know the destination priority of orders to be picked in
- Able to supply simple stores information, i.e., pick face counts, use by dates in pick faces
- Ensuring that all orders are picked correctly utilizing the warehouse management tools provided. Monitor and control workflow ensuring that picking is prioritised per destination and that all picking is completed in a timely manner.
- Checking and monitoring of all orders being despatched to ensure that
- Product is stacked neat and orderly on pallet
- Product not to overhang the outer edge of pallet
- Ensuring orders are on the correct type of pallet
- Ensuring orders are addressed clearly and correctly
- Ensuring no stock is despatched in a damaged or dirty condition
- Ensuring that you are completing all paperwork correctly as required.
- Addressing any issues raised by your team members and/or involve management as is appropriate with any staff disciplinary requirements.
- Ensuring that any special customer requirements are always met.
- Maintaining housekeeping in all areas that you are responsible within the warehouse at the levels which meet with food safety and the clients requirements as directed by management.
- Ensuring that the correctly dated product is sent to discount wholesale outlets including Why Knot and Family Barrow as per the written instructions received from the client.
- Reporting all damages to stock or the employers property.
- Striving to minimize damages and reporting on all damages that do happen.
- Reporting any unsafe equipment or environment.
- Reporting any accident or incident to management and health & safety team.
- Reporting on team activity as requested.
- Undertaking any other reasonable request to enhance the operation of the company.
- Assisting with devanning containers, unloading and loading.
- Able to operate runner, forklift counterbalance, reach and stockpicker with the correct required certification.

**Key Performance Measures**:
**General**
- Able to correctly complete of required paperwork
- Able to carry out at least 2 other stores duties from below, as required by operations:

- _ Replenishment_
- _ Wrapping of pallets_
- _ Cycle count_
- _ Rework_
- _ Devanning containers_
- _ Operating MHE runner, reach, counterbalance and stock picker_

**Equipment**:

- Able to effectively operate two types of material handling equipment. (runner, reach, counterbalance, forklift)

**Picking performance**:

- Able to maintain a good level of accuracy and productivity
- Pick accuracy should be at a minimum of 99%
- Pick speed able to do a minimum of 3 pick faces per minute (or as determined by management)

**Systems**:

- To be competent with any systems that Cardinal Logistics are currently using for pick packing orders Be competent with WMS (Multipick) if required
- Be competent with FMS (FreightPlus) if required

**Health & Safety**:

- Lead and behave in a manner that supports Cardinals Health & Safety practice and policies
- Ensure existing and potential customers abide by relevant H&S policies and procedures at any Cardinal site

**Relevant Skills & Training**:

- ** Qualifications**:A diploma or recognised qualification in logistics management would be desirable or equivalent experience

**Technical Skills and Experience**:

- 1 year experience minimum of Logistics/supply chain experience including operations or administration
