**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
The Immigration Compliance and Investigations branch has a vacancy in the investigation team based in Tauranga.
We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate Senior Investigator who are eager to take the next step in their career and be part of a dynamic, hardworking team in a fast-paced environment.
The team sits within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and are tasked with preventing and responding to immigration related offending and non-compliance.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Experience in leading, planning and / or undertaking complex criminal investigations and prosecutions, including fraud, in a team environment
- Ability to support vulnerable complainants through the investigation and prosecution process
- Excellent communication skills, ability to manage risk and maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and supervise in a team environment
- Demonstrated planning and organising skills including the ability to maintain a high level of performance when under pressure
- Proven ability to develop trust and credibility with managers and fellow staff
- Tertiary qualification, preferably in law enforcement, and/or comparable relevant experience in investigation and prosecution related work
- The ability to gain and maintain a national security clearance as required
