- Job Description

**Pact is seeking a part-time Community Support Worker for our Greymouth Vocational and Intellectual Disability Service.**

**About the role**

Your role will include supporting clients in participating in meaningful community activities, assisting with daily household tasks, and providing support with personal hygiene. Further assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau, and cultural reconnection.

As we operate 24/7, hours of work may include day, evening, weekend, awake night, and sleepover shifts.
- Encouraging and motivating client participation in day-to-day life
- Supporting them with activities of daily living, including in the community
- Ensuring support with medication and personal hygiene
- Supporting social and whanau connection
- Ensuring client processes are accurately documented
- Most importantly, supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives
- Desired Skills and Experience

**Skills and Experience**
- A full driver's licence is essential
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand (visas must be valid for more than twelve months)
- A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients, staff, and external agencies
