**About the role**:
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a specialisation in glass, or a Façade Engineer with experience in glass (ideally) who will work within the business’ Installations function. This is a true specialist role where you will be the specialist or technical glass expert on all matters pertaining to glass and glazing design and systems that meet compliance with the Building Code. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business meets technical specifications not just to meet compliance and exceed industry standards, but to support the end result, which is warmer and healthier spaces for Kiwi's all over New Zealand.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Having an input in the strategic execution of the business plan
- Provide technical engineering input into key projects; foundation and structural design
- Design and prepare detailed engineering calculations including Product Statement documents (PS1's)
- Provide product knowledge and maintain insights into new technologies
- Liaison with clients, consultants and local authorities on behalf of the company
- Product development and testing of new products for safety, performance and quality
- Evaluate requirements for sale
- Oversee and sign off contracts requiring Specific Engineering Design

Provide training to business to grow technical capability re building standards/ code and product capabilities/ limitations and provide industry updates

**About you**:
You may be working in a similar role or wanting to move into a more specialist role to broaden your skillset and support your career progression, with at least 3-5 years previous relevant industry experience. Your experience, be it local or overseas in Façade engineering will be viewed favourably, as will your experience and knowledge of international standards within this space. Other key requirements are listed below:

- Experience working with 3D Finite Element Analysis, AutoCad, FEA
- (Highly Desirable) Knowledge of Glass, Glazing Building Products and relevant standards
- IPENZ Degree: Civil / Structural / Facade Engineering
- CPENG qualified

Ideally you will be an Engineering Chartered Professional.
