Part Time Sales Assistant in Queensgate, Lower Hutt

This employer is looking for a Sales Assistant to work in their busy sports apparel store in the Queensgate Shopping Centre in Lower Hutt.

**The role will involve**:

- Greeting and approaching customers with a smile
- Engaging with customers
- Assisting customers to locate items
- Actively selling by providing product features and benefits
- Suggesting alternatives if the customer’s choice is unavailable
- Closing and processing the sale
- Thanking and farewelling the customer

**You will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring the floor is covered at all times
- Folding and tidying merchandise across the shop floor
- Unpacking, pricing and replenishing stock
- Ensuring store merchandising and housekeeping standards are maintained

We are looking for someone to work a shift from

**9am to 5.30pm every Sunday**9am to 6pm every 2nd Monday**
You must possess excellent communication skills and be willing to confidently interact with a wide variety of customers.

Previous retail experience an advantage, but not essential - we are looking for someone friendly and confident, who can provide excellent customer service. You will also need to be reliable, trustworthy and motivated
