Thai Cooks

We are looking for experience Thai Cooks who will be working with our team to produce authentic Thai food.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of related work experience OR

- At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR

- The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand
AND

- Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques

**Job Descriptions**

- Checking food products to ensure they meet quality standards

- Adjusting and monitoring temperatures on ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment

- Cooking and preparing a variety of dishes

- Seasoning food as it cooks to enhance flavour

- Portioning, plating, and adding sauces or garnishes before serving meals

- Storing ingredients and dishes in proper temperature-controlled conditions

- Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary requirements

- Assisting with menu planning and calculating ingredient needs

- Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff or apprentices

**Other detail**

- This is a full-time and permanent position

- Wages range from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and are paid weekly.

- Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

- You will be working at 21 Te Mata Road, Havelock North, Hastings 4130

- You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
