An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Needs Assessor to join our team at the Hawke’s Bay Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) service. You will be a registered health practitioner with current annual practising certificate (APC).

In this role you will be contributing to delivery of a variety of services to the health and disability community of Hawke’s Bay by performing a range of assessment and service coordination tasks.

As one of our Needs Assessors you will be a key member of our dynamic large team. You will work alongside colleagues to ensure smooth provision of services in a busy environment where all parties contribute positively to improving the health of the Hawke’s Bay community. You will be based within the Older Persons NASC team.

We are ideally looking for someone who loves working in a challenging role You will have high levels of communication and assessment skills, strong computer literacy, be self-motivated with the ability to prioritise your own workload as well as work as part of a team. Robust self-care skills are essential in this high pressure role.

Your outstanding relationship building skills will allow you to liaise with a wide range of people and your resilient nature welcomes daily challenges in a hectic, fast paced working environment.

You will have the ability to actively seek ways to work with Māori whaiora and whānau to maximise Māori experience.

You will be required to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information.
