Casual roles available

We're looking for Casual Rehabilitation Assistants to join the Hoki ki te Kāinga service, which translates as “Returning Home”. We are an early supported discharge team who work in the community to support people in their transition from hospital to home.

We want someone who will grow with us We encourage and support people who are innovative, eager to learn and enhance their skills, and are passionate about caring for our community. You’ll be dealing in the business of people every day so communication, patience and empathy should be high on your list of attributes.

You’ll bring your experience of working within the Health and Disability sector, and your exceptional interpersonal skills. You’ll be passionate about improving health outcomes for our clients, and making a real difference to the people you work with.

If successful, you would provide relationship centred support and rehabilitation at home, to help people recover from their hospital stay in an environment that is familiar and meaningful to them. You would use a restorative model to help people increase their independence in activities of daily living and return to their previous level of function. You would work with whānau to enable them to take an active role in helping their loved one recover.

This role is on a casual basis and includes excellent pay rates including penal rates for weekends and statutory holidays worked, as well as extra leave allowance for shift work and statutory holidays worked.
