Fire and Slice Limited trading is a busy take away and dine in pizza place, looking for a full time pizza cook to work in their Christchurch shop as well as food truck around Canterbury various locations such as weekly markets etc.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **Wood-Fired Pizza Preparation**: Prepare and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas in a wood-fired oven.
- **Dough Management**: Make, stretch, and manage dough for pizzas.
- **Topping Preparation**: Prepare and portion toppings, including meats, vegetables, cheeses, and herbs.
- **Order Management**: Manage and fulfill pizza orders in a timely manner.
- **Quality Control**: Check pizzas for quality, presentation, and temperature.

**Restaurant-Specific Responsibilities**:

- **Kitchen Maintenance**: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels and restock ingredients as needed.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure wood-fired oven, mixers, and other equipment are in good working condition.
- **Team Support**: Assist other kitchen staff with tasks and orders.
- **Customer Service**: Interact with customers, answer questions, and handle complaints.

**Food Truck-Specific Responsibilities**:

- **Mobile Kitchen Operations**: Prepare and cook pizzas in a food truck kitchen.
- **Event Setup/Tear Down**: Assist with setting up and tearing down the food truck at events.
- **Mobile Inventory Management**: Manage inventory levels and restock ingredients for food truck events.
- **Festival/Event Operations**: Work in fast-paced festival/event environments.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Development**: Assist in creating new pizza recipes or menu items.
- **Catering**: Prepare pizzas for large events or catering orders.
- **Food Safety**: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- **Collaboration**: Work with other staff to ensure seamless operations between restaurant and food truck.

**Physical Demands**:

- Fit person as this job is bit demanding
- Stand for long periods
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Tolerate high temperatures from wood-fired oven
- Travel to events/festivals (food truck) around Canterbury region

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience with wood-fired pizza cooking preferred however training will be provided.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Full Driving license with ability to drive manual and non-power steering vehicle.

Pay: $28.20 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
