Harvesting Co-ordinator

Log Marketing is seeking a new team member to manage log procurement and harvesting operations within a growing locally owned company.

We have an excellent opportunity for someone who has had experience in the overseeing of either harvesting or forestry operations with the ability to develop in the other, or has proven skills/experience to be successful in this role. Relevant tertiary-based qualifications are desirable, however we would consider someone with proven industry experience and an adequate skill base.

This role will primarily involve:

- Day to day supervision of logging crews and forestry contractors.
- Carrying out operational audits to ensure Health & Safety and Environmental compliance meets industry standards.
- Dealing with forest owners and customers in the process of procuring and marketing their woodlots.
- Assisting with forest inventory and harvest data collection.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships and maintain clear communication.
- Integrity, honesty and be self-motivated.
- The ability to work independently.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office/Excel would be advantageous.
