The role is an immediate start permanent position in a team currently consisting of 7 General Medicine Physicians and 6 House Officers/Senior House Officers and 8 Registrars (including this role).

Our hospital is a well-resourced centre, proud of its comprehensive range of services designed to support the people of Whanganui in their health journey.

Te Whatu Ora Whanganui serves a population of approximately 60,000, performing 4,000 procedures annually in three elective theatres and one acute theatre. We have more than 50 RMOs working in General Medicine, Mental Health, Emergency, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, O&G, Paediatrics, Anaesthetic Departments and as Relievers. These positions do include night and weekend shifts on a rotating roster.
