It’s like getting a double shot of coffee in the morning when you live here and when you work with Masterton District Council (MDC) to create and support the great space that is called Masterton. Here at MDC we are looking for Roading Engineer.

**The role includes, but is not limited to**:
The Roading Engineer provides professional high-quality services for roading and associated infrastructure in the district that supports Council’s Community outcomes. The role is focused on working within a team of Roading Engineers to develop and deliver a proactive programme of work. This work will ensure the maintenance of the district’s roading infrastructure and improve the safety and resilience of the roading network.

**The key skills and experiences we are looking for include**:

- Diploma or bachelor’s in engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or NZCE or equivalent. A broad experience or knowledge in the provision of roading services is desirable.
- A NZQA certified procurement qualification is desirable.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing a work programme in roading or a relevant discipline.
- Contractor management skills and experience, including being Engineer’s Representative.
- Knowledge of relevant roading, engineering, NZTA and local government legislation, policies and processes.
- Possess a good level of computer literacy, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing programmes, with RAMM expertise is desirable.
- Be capable of writing reports and letters to a set standard in accordance with Council procedure and layout.
- Hold full driver’s licence.
