**Groper Garage Bar & Restaurant, Kaikōura**

We are looking for a passionate and experienced **Restaurant & Bar Manager** to lead the team at the **Groper Garage**, one of Kaikōura’s most popular hospitality venues.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take charge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a **beautiful seaside town**.

**Position Details**:

- **Full-Time** - Minimum 30 hours per week
- **Pay Rate**: $24.66-$32.00/hour (based on experience)
- **Schedule**: Afternoon & evening shifts, rotating roster
- **Restaurant Hours**: Open from 12pm until late, 7 days a week

**Requirements**:

- Current **LCQ** and **Duty Manager Certificate**, or ability to obtain quickly
- Must have **NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa**:

- Must **declare immigration status** when applying
- Fluent in **spoken and written English**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Uphold the **Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act** & host responsibility
- Oversee **food and beverage service** and customer experience
- Handle **customer feedback and complaints** professionally
- Manage and train staff; support recruitment and onboarding
- Manage **rosters, staffing levels**, and team performance
- Coordinate with kitchen for **menu design and pricing**:

- Handle **cash, financial records, stocktakes, and ordering**:

- Organise **group bookings and special functions**:

- Ensure **health & safety compliance**:

- General hospitality duties and **product knowledge/up-selling**
