Are you passionate about nurturing talent and helping our team grow? Do you thrive in a dynamic, family-oriented environment? We're looking for a dedicated, intermediate Learning and Development Coordinator to support our teams at our Onehunga and Glenfield Mitre 10 stores.

As the Learning and Development Coordinator for our Onehunga and Glenfield Mitre 10 stores, you will be crucial in creating an environment of ongoing learning and growth for our team. From guiding new recruits through our onboarding experience to planning, creating, and executing training sessions, you will be the centre of our team's development.

Your role is Monday to Friday (45 hours), with the occasional weekend day should the need arise, split between our two Mitre 10 stores. Due to the nature of the role, working from home is not available.

**Key responsibilities include**
- Coordinate and deliver onboarding programmes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team and culture
- Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance team members' skills and product knowledge
- Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and create customised development plans
- Organise and facilitate training sessions, workshops and other learning opportunities for team members, using material developed both by Support Centre and by you, as and where required
- Maintain training records and track the effectiveness of learning programmes
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members to promote their professional growth and development

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a learning and development role, preferably in a retail environment
- Proactive, with the curiosity to seek out the information you need and continue your own growth and development
- Creative and able to present to varied audiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members
- Organisational skills and attention to detail to effectively plan and coordinate training activities
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple locations and accommodate varying schedules
- Passion for learning and a commitment to helping others succeed
