We are working on one of New Zealand’s largest SAP S4 Hana and SAP Commerce Cloud implementations in the retail sector and are looking for the right people to build our core capability to support the delivery of this solution with our chosen partners and transition to a BAU model.

This opportunity is for an experienced **SAP Functional Consultant** with **Merchandise** experience, to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will be focused on the Store Merchandising processes and initially supporting 3-year planned rollout to stores of SAP solution, design, delivery and continuous improvement of our Retail and Trade solutions.

**Reporting to the SAP Application Manager, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to**:

- Provide thought leadership in area of knowledge to minimise cost of ownership and optimise best use of SAP for the business
- Support the change management processes related to the Solution, aligned with ‘Best Practice’, and leveraging experience in similar business environments
- Partner with Business SMEs and design teams to provide SAP Knowledge across SAP Retail, solutions and customer facing solutions
- Accountable for the functional quality of the SAP solutions for Mitre 10
- Responsibility for the ongoing reliability, performance, and availability of the solutions within the Retail domain
- Provide an integrated end-to-end view of the retail solution to support future initiatives and enhancements within the overall SAP solution
- Monitor and support the BAU operational activities to identify themes and risks and to provide corrective actions for the longer term

**Experience and Capabilities Required**:

- Tertiary diploma in a technical or commercial discipline
- Seen as an expert in Merchandise in a SAP context
- At least five (5) years of experience with SAP
- A highly integrated knowledge of the SAP, with a detailed understanding of all the areas that relate to Supply Chain
- Ability to work at all levels of the business and at a detailed operational level
- Ability to develop a roadmap for Merchandise to meet the business requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience in a retail business environment
- Experience in working with external vendors in the implementation of SAP
- SAP certification
