**Te Tūranga - The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an Application's Product Manager who reports directly to the Head of Product Management. You will be the Product leader for the assigned product in the business, with responsibility for the product's financial contribution to the overall commercial success of the product line in conjunction with the product line(s) strategy. It has individual accountability for managing and developing Tait's product offering, in line with our Product Line strategy. You will also have accountability for ensuring that all parts of the business are engaged when and how they need to be, to make the product offering a success in the market.

You will also be accountable for the financial performance (revenue and margin) and growth of the assigned product, in line with our business strategy. This will involve the contribution to technology and product strategies, contribution to the development of market and sales strategies, and evangelism and provision of meaningful support to our sales teams.

This role requires you to be commercially experienced, astute, and capable of assessing potential business partners' and determining their suitability to represent Tait for both equipment and system sales.

Also included in this role you will:

- Conduct market analysis, across our geographical markets and market segments (sourcing information from our Market Development team) and assess the assigned product offering in relation to market challenges and opportunities. Plan development of the assigned product offering to deliver to identify market opportunities.
- Visit customers and see our product offerings in action to build stronger understanding of customer requirements and product performance in-market.
- In collaboration with Product Line Management and all relevant teams, create, publish, and update a technology and product strategy for the assigned product.
- Undertake regular analysis of competitive products, benchmarking our products and identifying threats or opportunities.
- Establish and closely monitor the product lifecycle plan of the assigned product to optimize revenue and costs. Coordinate the staffing requirements for the product with Product Line Management to ensure continued commercial success.
- Closely monitor our revenue and margin performance. Exploit existing partnerships or identify new partners, through whom we can improve margin, product performance or better meet identified market need. Work with the market development team to ensure we take a coordinated and managed approach to third party technology partners.

**Ō pūkenga - About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience in Management of a technology business with P & L accountability. Ideally with 5 years direct experience in such a role. As well as:

- Extensive direct business management or technology experience in the mission critical communications market
- Strong commercial and operation skills and experience, including cross-functional and matrix management responsibilities in an international high technology context.
- Highly developed business and financial acumen maximising Tait's productivity and profitability from solution provision
- A highly developed mind for strategic, operational and supply chain thinking. Demonstrates strategic insight.
- A strong sense of ownership for the integrity of the outcome for Tait. Implies high levels of drive and tenacity to do what is right for the customer and market.
- Strong communication, public speaking, influencing, and change management skills.
- A highly evolved ability to work collaboratively and achieve results in a global, regional, and functional matrix management structure.
