Account Engineer

We are excited to be working on behalf of one of New Zealand's leaders in sustainable packaging solutions to find them an exceptional **Account Engineer**.
As Account Engineer your job will be to coach and mentor customers in respect asset performance and reliability of the fleet and to drive the reduction of risks that may adversely affect machine performance utilising expert electrical, mechanical and lean performance management processes.
You will work to Improve Customer Service experience through facilitating value added engineering services including ‘hands on’ repairs and maintenance as required.
- **Accountabilities**:_
- Ensure safety compliance with Australian and New Zealand statutes and requirements, company and customer safety policies
- Manage projects, installations, modifications, new formats to budget within agreed time frames
- Coordinate Operational Performance Excellence (OPE) re safety, maintenance, environmental machine efficiency
- Provide coaching and support to customer personnel
- Define, develop, monitor and improve asset management plans and projects for customer accounts / OPE that include value added preventative maintenance, FMECA, RCA, etc.
- Monitor accuracy of reporting and data base information
- Ensure adherence to Account Engineer reporting
- Identify and address engineering training and coaching needs within customer operations including improving existing manuals and maintenance plans to maintain reliable performance, base settings, service, replacement and operations of company machinery
- Other duties as required
- **Skills**:_
- Ability to utilise lean engineering principles to solve problems to produce increased returns and efficiency for clients
- To ensure compliance with Australian and Customer policy, procedure and regulatory requirements as well as company safety policies
- Awareness of current responsibilities and requirements of relevant legislation
- Demonstrated ability to manage machine engineering issues in a customer environment
- Engineering degree and / or electrical / mechanical trade qualification
- Sound mechanical aptitude and strong project management experience
- PLC programming knowledge is desirable
- Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation
- Ability to work with customers and their staff within the customer’s environment
- Ability to manage projects within a team environment, produce results despite conflicting pressures and competing demands
- Good verbal & written communication skills and good time management skills
**Salary**: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
