The services provided are essential to the people in the region and include infrastructure development, community recreational facilities and planning, building and other regulatory services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Advise the Transport Strategy Manager and identify best practices for QLDC transport planning and contribute to strategic infrastructure planning.
- Contribute to the formulation of a mode-shift plan and travel management plan.
- Scope/acquisition management plan for toolkit tasks.
- Create infrastructure solutions for the Long-Term Plan and Annual Plan capital program.
- Provide technical inputs for business cases, transportation modelling and strategic documents.
- External partners relationship building and management
- Acquisition and management of professional services, including procurement

**Key Requirements**:

- 7-10+ years of professional experience
- Relevant tertiary education desirable in Transport and/or RMA planning or Engineering
- A strong understanding of NZ transport planning and modelling systems, business case processes, urban planning policies, local government legislation.
- Leadership, project management, procurement, and consultancy skills.
- Great people and communications skills.
- Is autonomous, immerses in challenges and solves problems collaboratively
