- We are looking for a new/recent graduate with loads of
passion and commitment to join our maternity team at Wairau Hospital, working 64 hours a fortnight
(0.8 FTE).
We have 500 births a year and we can promise that your core midwifery
role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best
thing is that our service is a midwifery led, so you - ll get to be a midwife practising in all the areas you love

You will be a high performing midwife with
total commitment to women centred and culturally respectful care. You will have
excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to
work as part of a team and contribute to the broader organisational health care
objectives.
As a recent or new graduate, who
meets the Midwifery
Council and NZCOM enrolment requirements for the Midwifery First year of
Practice programme (MFYP), we will assist your transition to practice through a
comprehensive orientation, access to midwifery educator support and a range of
clinical experiences to help prepare you to become a confident midwifery
practitioner.
For the health
and safety of staff and patients all staff are required to have completed their primary course of two NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations.

relationships with our Obstetric and Paediatric teams too. The team not only
makes such a positive work environment to be in - they love to get together for

Ora (Nelson Marlborough) is the
main health provider for Te Tau
Ihu, the top of the south.
