Our Child Adolescent and Family Inpatient Unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients. As part of our commitment to comprehensive patient care, we also provide meal services to ensure that our patients receive nutritious and delicious meals during their stay. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospital's Environmental Services Team. This position encompasses both housekeeping and some meal service responsibilities. As a Hospital Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and dining areas.

In addition, you will be responsible for setting up meals, morning and afternoon teas for patients, pantry and linen supplies and keeping game areas in order. If you are passionate about cleanliness, have excellent organizational skills, and enjoy providing exceptional service to others, we would love to have you on our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily housekeeping tasks. Which could include laundry, linen supplies, tiding patient areas etc
- Clean and maintain dining areas, including tables, chairs, and food service equipment.
- Assist with the preparation and setup of meal service areas, including arranging tables, setting up utensils, and ensuring a clean and inviting environment.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs related to housekeeping equipment or meal service areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines when handling and serving meals.
- Maintain inventory of food and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members and hospital staff to deliver exceptional service to patients.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in healthcare environments.
- Basic understanding of food safety and dietary requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing heavy carts.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting patients' privacy.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
