- Permanent position based in Wellington CBD with flexible working Tēnei tūranga - About the Role: The Finance Business Partner role is a role that reports to the Manager Finance Business Partnering within the Finance Business Partnering branch of F+P. The Finance Business Partner would partner with the business to provide financial advice, effectively influence senior stakeholders in addition to providing assurance to the Senior Leadership Team that financial management processes, procedures and reporting comply with legislative requirements and best practice. They would be key in ensuring the business delivers a robust budget and forecast, by providing reporting and analysis to support this.

**About the branch**:
The Finance Business Partnering branch, which sits within F+P, works in partnership with business groups, supporting them to deliver their services effectively and efficiently, allowing the Ministry to achieve its outcomes. The Finance Business Partnering branch is the conduit between F+P and the business groups.

**We are looking for**:

- Strong analytical, strategic and planning skills as well as being commercially savvy
- Strong experience in driving outcomes and managing diverse stakeholder interests
- Strong strategic financial management experience within a large, complex and diverse organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and ability to articulate complex messages clearly, simply and concisely
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and successful working relationships
- High standards of professionalism and performance driven
- Legal right to live and work in New Zealand
- Be CAANZ qualified or equivalent
