Caregiver

The Ultimate Care Group is a privately owned Specialist Residential Aged Care Services Provider. We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand.

The staff we employ are professional, dedicated, motivated and passionate about caring for the elderly. Our specially designed dementia friendly gardens and interior features have been created to provide stimulation and help trigger the senses.

We have a permanent part time role (20 hours per week), for an experienced Caregiver.

Job tasks and responsibilities
- Providing and maintaining safe environment for residents.
- Individualised quality care to the residents and assist them to achieve the optimum level of well-being for each person under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist in the provision of a high level of care meeting the standards required by the Clinical Service Manager and Facility Manager accordingly.
- Demonstrate customer service and attention to detail while performing Caregiver duties for the facility at all times.
- Ensure all equipment is used in accordance with relevant guidelines to minimise any potential damage at all times.
- Ensure daily work schedule is completed.
- Communicate with other team members effectively to ensure smooth delivery of service to residents.
- Perform additional necessary duties as directed.

Skills and experience
- You must have 1-2 years previous experience as a caregiver, preferable in rest home care, hospital level care, respite care, dementia Care and palliative Care).
- Proven team member experience.
- Proven verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to prioritise and organise effectively.
- Previous experience in the Aged Care industry preferred.
