**80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)**

We are seeking to recruit a Radiology Clerical Officer for Te Whatu Ora - Te Matau a Maui Hastings who shares our values of He kauanuanu - Respect, Ākina - Improvement, Rāranga te tira - Teamwork and Tauwhiro - Care.

This position is based in Hastings but may be required to work from the Napier and Waipukurau Health Centres. The hours of work are 8am-5pm.Rostered shifts; Mon-Sun including public holidays and weekends

Computer literacy is a must as staff work within 2 different systems (ECA and RRIS) as well as using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

A working knowledge of the regional radiology information system (RRIS), the hospital's patient management system (ECA), referral management and modalities of radiology are highly desirable.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Management of Plain Film Xray modality
- Managing all referrals
- Scheduling appointments - immediate and/or future.
- Capturing accurate ACC data to ensure maximum and accurate revenue
- Contacting patients regarding pending appointments
- Management of DNA and Cancelled appointment worklists
- Rescheduling appointments as necessary based on clinical priority as necessary.
- Front of house reception - face to face contact with all visitors to dept.
- Answering/dealing with incoming telephone calls
- Patient admissions/transfers/discharges
- General administration - filing, ordering stationery, mail, receiving/sending faxes.
- Management of waiting room - ie knowing when to reduce workload due to staffing constraints
- Sorting and distribution of radiology reports.
- Managing other modality worklists as and when required (covering leave etc).
- Patient admissions/transfers/discharges
- Rescheduling appointments as necessary based on clinical priority as necessary.
