**Brian Perry Civil** is immediately seeking a motivated Barge Supervisor to join our Wellington team on the Seaview Wharf Renewal project. Reporting to the Superintendent, your main responsibilities will be:

- Effective control and efficient operation of the unit’s jacking system
- Day to day maintenance on the unit
- Operating the jacking system within the design criteria
- Plan and lead barge movements with team and subcontractors
- Assist during anchor handling operations and support vessel activities
- Report / writing skills required to prepare and maintain the jacking log and load stability sheets, as well as recording scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the jacking system
- Being familiar with his duties in an emergency situation and being aware of acts & regulations, Company’s procedures, and ensures that those are complied with.
- Coordinating barge and tug movements and assist the team with a hands-on approach
- Work and communicate with the Superintendent, Engineers, and site team to ensure work plans and practices are undertaken in a safe manner.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills which will allow you to work closely with the construction teams to ensure the most suitable work methods and practices are used. Your commitment to ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety, environmental and quality management will be a strength.

**Applicants will need experience in the following**:

- Modular Jack Up Barge assembly
- Jacking on manual and remotely operated platforms
- Experience on Combifloat type platforms preferred.
- Full New Zealand drivers’ licence (Full License for applicants from overseas)
- Additional experiences will be highly regarded such as piling experience on land or marine, valid Site Safe training, Class 2 drivers’ licence, Dogman tickets
