**About the role**

This role is essential to ensure that our customers have a great online shopping experience.

As a Performance Specialist you will be part of a customer focused, high performing IT Testing team, being responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining Performance Test Automation Frameworks and scripts.

In this role you will test, perform, and define performance tests based on requirements within sprint and automate them.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with key stakeholders to identify and define the required performance test requirements, test environments and test scope.
- Determining expected test results and documenting them in test cases / automating where appropriate.
- Developing/maintaining a library of performance test scripts and procedures in a way that they can be reused as efficiently as possible.
- Testing the functionality developed within Sprint, and making sure that it works as per business requirements.
- Escalate the risks and performance bottlenecks with stakeholders.
- Making sure that Test Automation standards & best practices are followed and that automated performance test cases are linked to the business requirements.
- Consolidating existing and building new performance testing automation frameworks from scratch in order to provide a consistent testing capability.
- Working closely with other members of Agile Development team.

**About you**

You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about doing your job and constantly improving your knowledge. You will have testing experience on complex projects. You’ll have excellent communication skills as there are multiple touch points across the business.

Must have:

- At least 4 (four) years of experience as a performance test engineer
- Able to create performance testing frameworks from scratch
- Design, develop and deploy automated performance testing frameworks using tools, processes and methodologies including CI deployments on the likes of Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.
- Have expert knowledge on any one of the tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Sitespeed.io, SoapUI/LoadUI/ReadyAPI or any other leading tools
- Understand business requirement and able to create required necessary performance benchmarks
- Articulate necessary performance risks, flag and communicate to the business
- Great communication skills, being good team player and able to consistently deliver solutions that matter to business

Desirable:

- Any ISTQB Certification
