Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator is accountable to the Principal Adviser Rehabilitation and Learning for the overall coordination of volunteer engagement, training, administration and monitoring within Manawatu Prison.
The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the management of volunteer services and who can assist in our goal of reducing re-offending by supporting a range of activities supplied by volunteers within a custodial environment. This is a part time position working 16 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who thrives working in a busy team, demonstrates initiative and uses their strong interpersonal skills to build rapport. You'll have great attention to detail and strong prioritisation and time management skills as well.
- Experience working within a portfolio or programme/project environment (or similar)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated administration and analytical experience in a corporate environment and/or public sector environment
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of programmes, in particular Word and Excel.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The full-time salary range for this position is $57,398 - $81,032 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
